Dr. Margarita Velandia (Associate Professor, Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics, University of Tennessee) will be conducting a meeting to target beginner farmers (less than 10 years present in the farm, or even farmer relatives that are hoping to be the primary decision makers of the farm in the future like sons, brother, etc.) in Davidson and surrounding counties who will be interested in participating in a focus group where they will discuss their experiences accessing technical, capital, and other resources. This information will be helpful in crafting and expanding effective curriculum, programs and policies for beginning farmers in Tennessee. The focus group will last two hours at most and participants will receive a $30 incentive for participation, and we provided them with a meal.
If you would be interested in attending and being part of the focus group, please contact Dr. Margarita Velandia
