2017 Small Ruminant Conference: May 18-20 in Knoxville
The 2017 Small Ruminant Conference will be held May 18-20 on the campus of the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture in Knoxville. Comprehensive information about the production of meat and dairy goats as well as sheep will be offered.

The conference will count for Tennessee Advanced Master Small Ruminant Producer Certification (formerly known as Advanced Master Meat Goat and Sheep Producer Certification). Highlights of this year’s conference include a tour of the parasite lab with the UT College of Veterinary Medicine, FAMACHA training and a trade show. Vendors will give away door prizes including $750 in equipment from Sydell and $250 in feed from Tennessee Farmer’s Co-op.

The meeting will be held at the Brehm Animal Science Building, 2506 River Drive. Topics for the program will include: nutrition, reproduction, harvest and sales regulations, predation, guardian animals and more.
