SEEKING: Seeds for Puerto Rico
Green Door Gourmet is assisting the Puerto Rico Resiliency Fund, an organization collecting seeds for Puerto Rican farmers. The organizer’s name is Tara Rodriguez Besosa. She is working with Americas for Conservation and the Arts on this project. Please contact Laura Dison at Green Door Gourmet if you can help.
From the Puerto Rico Resiliency Fund: We are in immediate need of seeds. Your seed donations should be non-gmo, heat tolerant, nutritionally dense crops, fast growing, low maintenance, pest or disease resistant, and easy to save, in order to guarantee their continuous production.
We’re urgently looking for the following seeds (preferably “fast crops”):
Amaranth (use leaf amaranth like spinach)
Beans (Snake beans & winged beans for the tropics)
Kang Kong (Water spinach)
