Highland Rim Cattle webProducers interested in responding to consumer demand for grass-fed beef are invited to attend a new conference sponsored by the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture. The 2016 Grass-Fed Beef Conference will be held March 17 at UT’s Middle Tennessee AgResearch and Education Center in Spring Hill.

The conference offers livestock producers a specialized understanding of grass-fed beef production systems as well as training from UT AgResearch faculty and Extension specialists. A panel discussion featuring grass-fed beef producers and industry experts will give participants a well-rounded perspective of the pros and cons of operating a grass-fed beef operation.

The conference will benefit cattle producers with direct marketing meat enterprises and beginning and transitioning beef cattle ranchers. More…
